what to expect

Meeting Place

We currently meet at the West Chester Academy of Music and Dance. When you approach our building, look for the Gateway Community Church sign in front of the academy brick building. Smiles and coffee greet those who enter.

Worship Gathering

Our Sunday morning worship takes place in a dance studio. Yes, the walls are pink. Our services last about an hour and fifteen minutes. It’s not important what you wear – we dress comfortably. Our Lead Pastor, Chad Fagerland regularly wears jeans and wouldn’t be caught without his trademark “Chuck Taylors”.

Teaching

Our teaching last between 30-40 minutes. We believe this is one of our strongest contributions as a church. Check out some of our recent messages.

Students

Our Children’s Ministry is a God-centered, interactive, fun and safe environment where children can learn about Jesus and apply the Bible in a way that is relevant to their lives and development.

Music

Our worship is relevant to our culture today and designed to fit the smaller space. Words to the songs are projected on a screen. Please follow these links for a few examples of songs we sing (you will be connected to iTunes):

Authenticity

Church must be a place where people feel safe regardless of what’s going on in their life – especially when it gets messy. When a child stumbles and falls, they run to the open arms of dad or mom. In the same way, you will find Gateway to be a place where God’s arms are open wide to you. A place where you will personally discover, “This is authentic community.”
